About Aliex, Your Business English Tutor
Hello, I'm Aliex, the tutor behind English with Aliex. I'm studying for a BA (Hons) in Business Management and Spanish at The Open University, and I tutor Business English online.
Before I became an English tutor, I managed and ran businesses of my own. I know what it's like to speak up in a meeting, explain an idea to a client or make small talk with a new colleague, and that experience shapes how I tutor.
Languages and travel
I love languages and I love learning about other cultures. My partner is a pilot, so we travel together whenever we can. Every trip reminds me why clear, friendly communication matters so much.
My tutoring path
I started tutoring in 2024 and I have worked with students from more than 14 countries. Each student has their own goals, so each lesson is different.
What I tutor
I tutor all areas of Business English, not only meetings, emails, presentations and interviews. I also help with British English, including pronunciation and spelling.

Support between lessons
All materials are in my own Google Classroom, so you don't need a textbook. You also receive lesson notes and vocabulary lists to practise at your own pace.
How I handle mistakes: I don't interrupt every error. Sometimes I'll correct something straight away, make a note to discuss afterwards, or rephrase what you said so you hear a more natural option. You can make mistakes here, and you won't be judged for them. I know that feeling from learning Spanish myself.
Outside of tutoring
I'm learning Spanish at the moment, so I know what it feels like to search for a word or translate in your head. When I'm not tutoring or studying, you'll usually find me reading or working on a crochet project.
